Argyll and Bute Addiction Team (ABAT)
The Argyll and Bute Addiction Team (ABAT) is an NHS and social work team supporting people affected by their own or a family member's drug and/or alcohol use across Argyll and Bute, including Dunoon and Cowal.
The team includes nurses, social workers, support staff and a psychiatrist, delivering services through small locality-based teams.
Referrals usually come via a professional such as a GP, social worker or the criminal justice service, though voluntary sector addiction agencies can also be accessed directly.
