Dunoon Burgh Hall is a striking Category B-listed Scottish Baronial building on Argyll Street that has been at the heart of the town's cultural life for around 150 years. Run by a charitable trust, it hosts a year-round programme of arts, culture and entertainment, from exhibitions and talks to theatre and community events.
Inside there's a 200-seat theatre space, galleries used for changing exhibitions (including the annual Cowal Open Studios showcase), and artist studios, plus a cafe serving homemade cakes and soups with a cafe garden for fine days.
The Hall is also available to hire for weddings, conferences and celebrations, and relies heavily on grants, donations and its own events income rather than core council or government funding.
