Quay Store, Hunters Quay
Quay Store is a local convenience store on George Street in Hunters Quay, meeting the everyday needs of the local community.
Homemade soup is made fresh in the shop, with a changing choice such as lentil, potato and leek, French onion topped with toasted Gruyère bread, and sweet potato, coconut and chilli. It’s perfect for a warming lunch on a rainy day.
Thursday is pizza night, with freshly baked authentic pizzas from 5pm to 8pm, including Margherita, Marinara, Pepperoni, Diavola with n’duja, Funghi and Mortadella. They often sell out, so it’s best to order early, and there are occasional extra Saturday pizza nights.
The fridge is stocked with fresh filled rolls and pasta pots from Clyde Corner Café, Kent’s sausage rolls and pies, and Aulds pies, alongside everyday essentials, beers, wines and spirits, and treats such as Chulo’s stuffed cookies and Esplanade ice cream.
Quay Store also sells ferry tickets, handy for anyone heading across the Clyde.
