Royal Marine Hotel
A Grade B listed Victorian hotel at Hunters Quay, just north of Dunoon on the shore of the Firth of Clyde. Full of period character, it offers 36 bedrooms and is genuinely dog friendly, with doggy rooms and a free doggy breakfast for four-legged guests.
There's an in-house restaurant with a chef cooking local and traditional dishes on selected evenings, a cosy bar with an open fire, and a function suite used for weddings, birthdays and other celebrations.
Set among coastal and ancient woodland scenery, it's a good option for a heritage stay close to the Western Ferries terminal and the walks around Holy Loch.
