Strone Hill, Kilmun
Strone Hill is a Grade 2 walk of around 7.75km from near Kilmun, taking two-and-a-half to three-and-a-half hours, and one of the tougher short outings in this part of Cowal.
The climb is rewarded with wide views over the Holy Loch, the Firth of Clyde and across to the Rosneath Peninsula, making it a favourite for walkers after a bit more of a workout than the valley-floor forest trails.
