Susan M Turmeau Hand Made Jewellery
Susan M Turmeau is a Scottish goldsmith who designs and makes timeless, bespoke jewellery by hand in her workshop just outside Dunoon, using traditional jewellery techniques – what she calls “slow jewellery”.
Her work includes kilt pins and penannular brooches, pendants, necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings, often set with semi-precious stones such as amethyst, moss agate, hand-cut Perthshire agate, malachite, carnelian, labradorite and smoky quartz.
Commissions are a speciality. Whether you have a design in mind or just an idea, Susan can help you create a one-off piece for yourself, a loved one or a friend.
She also runs 3-hour and 1-day jewellery workshops where you make your own ring, pendant or pair of earrings using traditional techniques – no experience needed (age 18 and over). Gift vouchers are available for jewellery and workshops, and Susan also draws personalised hand-drawn cards for special occasions.
Susan trained in jewellery at Edinburgh College of Art and has been making jewellery for more than 20 years. Visits to the workshop are by arrangement – get in touch by email, phone or Facebook, and look out for her at local craft fairs.
