Cowal Golf Club
Cowal Golf Club
Cowal Golf Club sits on Ardenslate Road above Kirn, on the edge of Dunoon, and has been welcoming golfers since 1891. The parkland-style course has 12 holes, playing to a par of 69 over 5,993 yards, with a notable 1924 redesign by the famous course architect James Braid.
Facilities include a driving range, putting green, teaching professional, and equipment and pull-cart hire for visitors who haven't brought their own gear. Walking the course is the norm here rather than buggies.
Off the course there's a clubhouse with a bar and function/banquet space, making it a useful venue for golf societies as well as a solid, scenic round for visitors passing through Cowal.
