The Cowal Way
The Cowal Way
The Cowal Way is a long-distance route of around 90km (57 miles), usually walked over seven stages, running the length of the Cowal Peninsula between Portavadie and Inveruglas on Loch Lomond, and passing close to Dunoon, Glendaruel and Colintraive along the way.
Graded Grade 3 overall, it's a serious multi-day undertaking rather than a single day out, taking in forest, glen, lochside and hill scenery across the whole peninsula, and is popular with long-distance walkers looking for a quieter alternative to Scotland's better-known trails.
