Loch Riddon Bothy
A modern, architect-designed bothy overlooking Loch Riddon on what its owners call Argyll's 'secret coast', near Colintraive. Large windows and a larch-clad terrace look out over the loch to the mountains beyond, with a wood-burning stove for cosy evenings.
Inside, the small but carefully designed space is filled with work by local artisans, including a miniature kitchen made from upcycled whisky staves, and the two-acre garden is managed with sustainability in mind.
The Bothy holds a Green Tourism Gold Award and was shortlisted for a Highlands and Islands Thistle Award for Best Accommodation or Unique Stay, and guests consistently describe it as a thoughtfully finished, restorative escape.
