Winston Churchill Venison
Winston Churchill Venison is a family-run business based at the Balagowan Larder in Glen Lean, near Sandbank. Winston came to Cowal in 1983 to work as a deerstalker and the business is now run with his wife Anne and their sons Angus and Jamie.
In 2000 the family built a purpose-built larder to process their own wild deer, and they now employ full-time deerstalkers and butchers producing top-quality wild Scottish venison.
Their venison is available direct from the larder, by mail order and through local stockists, and the family also run deer stalking holidays on the Cowal peninsula.
